Fleur d'absinthe

Reviewed by absinthist 9/14/2010

COLOR BEFORE WATER 1/10
Undercoloured, barely green

LOUCHE ACTION 5/10
Very quick, badiane louche

COLOR AFTER WATER 8/10
Creamy pistacchio very whitewashed

AROMA 20/30
Hyssop and wormwood. Little fennel in the back

MOUTH-FEEL 7/10
Sugary anise, slight herbal note. Not heavy

TASTE 17/20
Balanced, herbal, too delicate to be used in cocktails, it will disappear completely, requires 1:3 to achieve the spiciness and creaminess

OVERALL IMPRESSION 8/10
Quite on the contrary to the propaganda and presentation it did arouse, not that bad, maybe the wormwood stalk has been luckily too short in the bottle?

If I put in Newly-rated absinthes, it would get lost. Here, it shall stay until the another major incorporation of orphaned reviews from the whole forum to the dead Buyer's Guide.
