Steve
Since I'll be in the neighborhood anyway (well, the same continent) I'll be there. Who else is going?
hartsmar
I think so... haven't looked into it yet though.
Patlow
I CAN go.

Details would be good.

Hotel to stay, dates, etc…

And I will make sure to get there at least 24 hours before the festivities start so I don't look like a total space-case without any sleep or nourishment or soul…

Well, I'll be on the same continent at the time. I suppose that makes it possible. Especially if Patlow shows with a soul. That might be worth seeing.
Patlow
I'll be there, but don't hold your breathe on the whole soul thing.

EDITED.
Steve
Everyone will arrive Friday Sept. 30 and leave Sunday Oct. 2. Contact Marc about hotel availability.

I was 99% there but an interesting possible alternative amusement has come up so my attendance is TBD soon.
sixela
I may come with Mrs. Sixela this time.

She's a lot closer to Caprica Six in spirit than I am, I'm sure you'll see.

So y'all behave, onacuz I still want to go to Boveresse next summer.

Patlow
Checking out plane tix. EXPENSIVE! Fly to Paris, right? Peter S., are you going? Hitch a ride? Otherwise, what is the train ordeal once landed at CDG?
The Standard Deviant
I'll be there unless I've been sacked in the intervening months.

You have to go into Paris from the airport and take a TGV from Gare de Lyon.
Not sure I will be there.
Steve
The other thing didn't work out so I'm back on. Likely arriving GVA Thursday night.

Pat- the train is easy, 4 hours from Paris, direct train.
Patlow
Thanks PV and Steve.
Steve
I'm flying into Geneva late Thursday, and will likely stay overnight and take the train to Pontarlier early Friday.
Jack Batemaster
What are the dates? Yes, I'm too lazy to look it up…
Jack Batemaster
Alright, duh.
October 1-2.
Jack Batemaster
…serves me right for using the "Heady P Special of the Day" version…
Jack Batemaster
What's the deal? Why doesn't it start on Thursday?
Mebbe next year…
Tibro
You've already got the passport.
Jack Batemaster
I might xow up next year and not go to the event.
Just 'be there,' ya know?
Tibro
Kinda all it is anyway.

You'll be in "good" company. You can join the hordes of sorry fucks who're too grumpy to show up even though they traveled a lot, just because something pissed them off (in Boveresse this year: his Gothness Peter Fuss and Ton Akveld).

thegreenimp
I'm seriously considering going to Boveresse in 2012, maybe this will trigger the end of the world.
Steve
Damn you, Jay, that means I have to go again too!
thegreenimp
They may have to put me on the airplane like Hannibal Lechter.
Steve
There's drugs for that.
Steve
Back to this year, if anyone is doing anything exciting Thursday night the 29th let me know. I haven't decided where to stay or what to do, but I did decide to rent a car.
sbmac
Steve, I'm arriving thurs in Geneva at 9:30AM. I'm renting a car to drive to Pontarlier. If timing works, I'm happy to give you a lift. Edit: Oops, I see you plan on renting a car too. Well, at least a few of us will be there Thursday! I'm at the St. Pierre.
sbmac
BTW, the train ride from Geneva is shorter, and you don't need to leave the airport to catch the train.
Steve
I'm not getting in to GVA till 6:40 PM, but I will probably go straight to the St. Pierre. I thought about taking the train but it's at least 2 and a half hours with a change in Neuchatel (correct me if I'm wrong), and the car seems reasonably cheap. (Sorry to bore everyone with mundane details.)
martin.zufanek
80% chance of attending. I rather contact Marc and ask for hotel availability.
Jack Batemaster
Thinking 2012 might work…although if Spoony and/or Xirty is going, then I might be real busy…
Steve
For your planning purposes, Jack, it's highly unlikely that I will go to Absinthiades next year, but there's a good chance for Boveresse. So you should be real busy in June.
Jack Batemaster
I thought they were the same thing?
Steve
You're fucking with me, right?™
Jack Batemaster
Nope. Guess I haven't been PTFA!!!
G&C
Spring & Fall or sum' like that…

It involves travel to Europe so I don't PTFA.
Jack Batemaster
If it's not an Official LF™, I haven't really PTFA!!! neither…
Tibro
Those happen in the summer.
In the true cradle of absinth.
Jack Batemaster
I'd be drinking beer, anywhoo.
Tibro
Jack, did you brake the Lounge again?
Jack Batemaster
Nope, it's been braked for years.
Tibro
But sometimes the breaks actually bring it to a stop.
Jack Batemaster
Started doing some weird xit in IE a few weeks ago. Chrome works fine.

How fortunate for you.

I hear next year's is going to be a big beer fest, just for a change of pace. harhar.gif

Xirt boy going to Boveresse won't trigger the end of the world.

Jackie B going to Boveresse won't trigger the end of the world.

Absomphe going to Boveresse…that might just do it.

Pro in Boveresse could be the start of something beautiful.
Jack Batemaster
So these "Absinthiades" aren't in CowTown™?

That sudden polar flip flop (or maybe Fluevog) is far more likely.

You know a girl named Boveresse?
