Who's in?

Come on, you know you want to!
Steve

I'm seriously considering going to Boveresse in 2012, maybe this will trigger the end of the world.

Jay, you still considering?
Tibro
Don't tell me you're planning on going. Again.
Steve
Crazy, ain't it.
hartsmar
If I'm not in Texas at that time, I'm there...
Patlow
IN!
thegreenimp
I guess I need to see about getting a passport, and look at the logistics of all of this.

Lemme know when you are in the area, I'll let Imp #5 hump your leg.

EW!
Tibro
I think you mean, "AW!"wwww.
Patlow
Nope. Hate dogs! EW!
Provenance
How can anyone hate dogs?
Tibro
Especially the little leg humpers.
Jack Batemaster
Je suis désolé, mais je vais en France en Juillet. J'ai déjà acheté mes billets d'avion. Je pourrais aller, si on changerait les dates.
Patlow
Plane tix crazy expensive again this year. S-O-B!
Alan
Your flight may cost more, but look at the rest of it.

Assuming you paid your credit card bill for Boveresse 2011 in August, you would have found $1 = CHF 0.72. Now $1 = CHF 0.95. In other words, you can get 32% more for your money in Switzerland right now. 32% more absinthe, 32% more beer, 32% more anything (Oh, wrong forum for that).
Jack Batemaster
L'année dernière, mon billet d'avion coût presque deux fois autant que cette année. Ce n'est pas trop chèr.
Patlow
That's true Alan. Luckily, I used no credit card in Bov last year.

What the hell. I'm going…
R3al Caravano
Alan: I would not wager that bet the Swiss sell chocolates and anti-depressants so they will hold strong against a weak USD.
Marc
Like every year, I'm planning hotel bookings and the party on Friday night.
Contact me asap if you're interested : marc @ oxygenee . com
Steve
I just bought my ticket, bitches! See you there!
rob fritz

Yes ! I will see you there, can't wait !!
Patlow
I'm in too bitches!

(Also, Steve, the next day in Zurich I think is a must.)
Steve
It worked out better for me to fly out of Geneva this time, Pat, so you're on your own in Zurich!
hartsmar
Geneva in the summer is wonderful.

Count me out for Boveresse though. I'm on your side of the pond then...
Fizzle
Only 2 weeks away! My wife and I are very excited to be attending. Any advice/tips would be greatly appreciated…
hartsmar
Bring aspirin.
Steve
Come by Claude-Alain's distillery in Couvet on Friday afternoon.
Tibro
Don't drink the water.

Unless you add a disinfectant.
Jack Batemaster
Je suis très occupé …
Grim
Kirk and I just met up. We're drinking Blues Cat and headed to the airport.
Tibro
Is that a euphemism of some sort?

Or did you meet up at the convention? The one that just ended. In Montana. And now you're headed back home.

Damn it. You gotta be fucking kidding me.

Happy trails.

Happy entrails.

Seconded! abs-cheers.gif
Grim
Apparently, if you give Kirk Bourbon he is invisible to State Police.
Steve
I'm at SFO. See you on the other side, Grim.
Kirk
I was moving so fast they couldn't see me, 120 miles an hour through the desert mountains.
It was fun to watch Grim talk his way on.
"We stop issuing boarding passes one hour before departure"
"I spoke to someone who said that was not written in stone"
Well okay, since you have no baggage, carrion?"
"No". . . '
not exactly."
Steve
My flight is late, and I have a short connection at Heathrow. Fingers crossed.

Sounds good! I plan on driving through Pontarlier on Friday, too.
alanmoss
Looking forward to seeing you all at the Distillery. We should have the webcam going as usual so those who can't make it can see what they are missing.

Or did you meet up at the convention?

Happy trails.

Funny thing was I was near the convention and had time to kill but never considered it.
Went to see my sister in law's new house in Estes Park Co, checked out Rocky M.P. and then wandered through Moab looking for petroglyphs, down through Arches park, spent a couple nights in the Grand Canyon then through the petrified forest and off to see Grim off, all the while keeping to gem trails, stopping in the appropriate places to hike in and scout for turquoise, agate, opal and jasper. If you've seen Lucy in "The Long, Long trailer" you might get the idea.
Right now I'm in Amarillo, heading east and sick of rock hounding, hoping to find amusement on RT 66 all the way home.
Kirk
Moab
Tibro
Looks like a very kool trip. Long ago one of my best friends lived in Estes Park for a spell. Amazing place. But I've never been to any of those other places. Seems I know more foreigners with more experience in US National Parks than I do Amerikans, so I tip my hat to you. Too many people never bother with the wonders in their own back yard.

As for the convention, I'm not surprised you skipped it. It didn't sound like it was going to be the kind with any naked dancing girls. What's a convention without at least one naked dancing girl? Just a bunch of people trying to sell you stuff.

And then there's the tent-party in Boveresse…
Kirk
That crowd from the WWS has already made it very clear they don't want me around.
Jaded Prole
Their loss. Certainly not yours.

Looks like a great adventure. The Southwest is stunningly beautiful.

You can get a decent breakfast right off the shoulder at this place in Illinois.

Kallisti and friends, a few years ago.
No, you can't see St. Louis from there.

Jack Batemaster
Qui est ce moche homme et où est sa tête ?
Artemis
Il est un Ange de l'Enfer.

Ah, d'autre homme?

Il est un tête-rouge cowboy de saucisse, mais déguisé.
Jack Batemaster
ouais, c'est lui
