National Absinthe Day in the US. Today. It shows up on some online news services.
Tried the search function and found nothing. Any discussion here about this already that I can't find? Or is it, as I suspect, some bullshit arbitrary date established by a Marketeer as an excuse to have a sales event, and thus nobody here gives a flying fuck?
It's the date in 2007 when the TTB approved the label for Lucid, making it the first absinthe legal in the U.S. since 1912. Sure, it's marketing, but I think it's a day worth recognizing.

Yep. That's legit. Thanks for the answer. Not like I need an excuse…
