I will be wandering about in the TX oasis of free thought 07Jul2012, up to some absinthe drinking, and some just overall partying. Would be nice to meet up with some folks for some baccanalia, or maybe just go and watch some blues playing cat.

Je suis désolé, mais je vais être en Europe cette semaine.

Hippie Hollow ain't Cap d'Agde, but we'll manage.
Tibro
Can you find a decent beer to eat there?
Père Ubu
I'm fond of Real Ale Brewing, but as they become more succe$ful, they seem to have just $$$ in their minds.

The Full Moon Pale Rye Ale , the Phoenixx ESB, the Devil's Backbone Trippel, and the Sissyphus Barely wine are all fairly decent.

Austin, being ausitn, should have a decent micro-bewing-eateries, but Eric might know more about that.

Pouvez-vous trouver une bonne bière pour manger là-bas ?

Pilsner Urquel dans les bouteilles vertes.

Je pense que j'irais pour Roi Jester la bière, si j'étais à Austin.

Le roi de jesters ?

Shiner took a swing at Pilsner. Not bad, but only a 1/3 of the rafter taste. Maybe a dark bottle might have helped with that. they make a Ruby red right now, that is OK™.

ND, Jésus christ de fornication, faire quoi que ce soit en dehors de Rabat vos lèvres freaking ?

He doesn't really make anything that's drinkable, does he?
Père Ubu
Plenty of nasty stuff made here, and even by RAB. I was merely listing the ones I like. To be honest, when it comes to TX beer, I stick to The Full Moon and the Phoenixx, and the occational St. Arnold's. I used to like Porter style beer, but I only once enjoyed a CO version, and being drunk, never noticed the brand.

Butt, I'm not much of a beer drinker, mostly using it as a refreshment in social gatherings. I used to drink a bit of home brew, but lack the time to make them anymore, and live too far from those that make good stuff. Home brews turned me off most CO beer.
I pretty much stick to absinthe as a daily drink.

When I'm in Austin, you'll never see me drink beer.

Yeah, even if I ever see you. Which wouldn't necessarily be a bad thing.

Good Boozes, pretty women, ales, pilseners, grub, watch&learn, and a nice swimming pool. Pretty good weekend, if I may say so.

The highlight was stopping by and visiting with Eric for a bit.
