So I was going though some references to absinthe from Finnish artists in the beginning of the twentieth century, and noticed some describe absinthe for example in their letters to home, even though they are written in the era of the ban. How succesful was the enforcement of the ban in Paris in the beginning of the century? I guess the clandestine absinthes were quite available?
