Help needed: Can anyone translate, or at least accurately transcribe this inscription? It's probably Danish, written in a book published in 1820.

My God, if I can't arrive here after months of absence and immediately get free translation help for an inscription in my 1820 Copenhagen edition of Beowulf, what exactly is the POINT of my having run this forum for the last 10 years? I'm really starting to call it all into question now.
