COLOR BEFORE WATER 1/10
Whilst it's not an ugly colour per se, it has that bright almost fluorecent green that comes from going overboard on the artifical colouring. It's no quite the "radioactive" look of other Czech brands, but it still looks more like a toxic chemical than a beautiful meadow.

LOUCHE ACTION 0/10
It doesn't. At all. Not even a little bit. Believe me, I tried.

COLOR AFTER WATER 1/10
As there's no Louche action, it's pretty much the same only fainter (which is actually an improvement).

AROMA 8/30
Before adding water, it has that horrible acrid scent that foreshadows the bitter burning sensation of cheap, nasty absinth. There is a faint hint of anise, too much mint and a lot of something that I think is supposed to be wormwood, but just smells like composte. After adding water it does improve. With the dilution of the alcohol, some of the other herbs in the mix start to come through and it loses a bit of it's nasty edge.

(It should be noted that in trying to get it to louche I added a lot more water than usual. It probably worked out to be about 1:5 and my guess is you wouldn't be able to sense the other elements at any lower dilution. The rest of the review is based on another glass that I remade to about 1:3. Looking over the sections above, the comments and scores would be pretty much the same for both glasses).

MOUTH-FEEL 0/10
This is easily the worst element of the drink. To quote Ralph Wiggum "It tastes like burning". There are only two feelings in the mouth with this drink: A syrupy tackyness and a burning pain. It's what I imagine eating a mouthful of sugar cane and wasabi would feel like. Good if you've got a cold, not much good for anything else.

TASTE 4/20
After about half a glass, if you're able to cut through the all consuming alcoholic sting, the taste becomes almost not revolting. Once your tongue becomes numb to the horribly bitter wormwood overkill and you get used to the listernine-like mint aroma, you can start to sense the other herbs in there, which aren't all bad. Still, you've really got to want to find them in there, and it's far more trouble than it's worth.

OVERALL IMPRESSION 2/10
Whilst it's not the worst drink I've ever had, it's not far from it. Its terrible excess of dirty, bitter wormwood and nasal-cavity-cleaning mint, whilst helping mask the syrupy aniseed taste, makes the drink feel clumsy and caustic. It tastes of burnt leaves and chemicals. If you wanted to know what drinking Vick's Vapourub tastes like, this would make a good aproximation.

PERSONAL NOTES
Readers in Australia (and possibly other countries) may know this as "Green Fairy Absinth" as the name isn't actually printed anywhere on the label. Personally, I sympathise - I wouldn't want to put my name on this stuff either.

COLOR BEFORE WATER 1/10
Horrible artificial aqua colour.

LOUCHE ACTION 0/10
I was actually able to make this absinthe louche a tiny bit but it took alot of effort. No points here.

COLOR AFTER WATER 1/10
Lighter aqua. Boring.

AROMA 5/30
Nothing nice about the aroma of this. Smells kind of like liquorice and mint with strong cheap alocohol. Not good at all.

MOUTH-FEEL 0/10
Absolutely horrible. This is one of the only absinthes that I could not finish the glass.

TASTE 1/20
Tastes like cheap alcohol with mint and liquorice. This is not absinthe.

OVERALL IMPRESSION 2/10
Definitely the worst absinthe i have tried so far. I don't know what I was thinking when i bought it(maybe i wasn't thinking at all).

PERSONAL NOTES
I am from Australia and yes, over here this Stromu Absinth is called Green Fairy and has a paper band around the neck of the bottle with a transvestite looking fairy with the words "Green Fairy" underneath. Fellow Aussies, please keep clear of this swill.
