COLOR BEFORE WATER 7/10
Olive leaning more towards brown. Almost identical in color to Libertine. Very clear.
LOUCHE ACTION 8/10
Slow louche that holds.
COLOR AFTER WATER 7/10
Not real opaque, could use more.
Anise fragrance, but also has a "spicy" aroma. Not real aromatic.
The spicy aroma also translates to the mouth feel, it has somewhat of a bite to it. Not really full or smooth.
Kind of bitter, more than I'm used to. I feel like I just ate some red hots or something, and this is at 1:4, it's noticeable for sure. I know there is no cinnamon in it, but to me it has that effect.
OVERALL IMPRESSION 6/10
I liked it better the first time I tried it, maybe it's just today. You can see he's heading in the right direction. However, this is not real complex and any herbal or floral notes tend to be lost by the bite that this has. Don't regret buying it, but most likely won't buy more of this one.
