COLOR BEFORE WATER 7/10
Discolored slightly to include brownish/yellow tones.

LOUCHE ACTION 6/10
Fast as hell. Hello, star anise.

COLOR AFTER WATER 7/10
Damn near opaque white. No nuances of blue, yellow, brown or any color around the edges. An improvement from the raw liquor, but lacking other tinges I've noticed in good blanches.

AROMA 19/30
Anise & little else.

MOUTH-FEEL 4/10
Quickly produces a numb tongue. Pasty.

TASTE 13/20
Actually not too bad. The debate is whether there's wormwood in it. It certainly tastes like there is, but is it something else.mugwort? If it star anise were substituted with the green variety, it would vastly improve this drink.

OVERALL IMPRESSION 7/10
Not a horrible absinthe overall, but a poor blanche. No complexity.

COLOR BEFORE WATER 10/10
Perfectly clear, no tint whatsoever.

LOUCHE ACTION 8/10
Nice swirling cloudiness rising from the bottom. Starts almost immediately indicating star anise. Keeps climbing with a clear top layer until diluted 2:1

COLOR AFTER WATER 7/10
White and thick with a slight blue tone under daylight lamp. Weakly translucent. Not perfect but a nice blanche. Slight oilyness on top.

AROMA 20/30
Neat: Clear and nice wormwood tones with anise and fennel backing.
Diluted: The anise and fennel climbing to blend with the wormwood making it nicely balanced.
Lacking complexity though.

MOUTH-FEEL 6/10
Better than OK but in no way exceptional.

TASTE 14/20
Very nice simple blanche which starts with the wormwood slowly emerging into fennel and ending with anise topped with wormwoody stringence lingering at the left and right back of your thongue. A blanche lacking complexity but otherwise nice.

OVERALL IMPRESSION 6/10
Classic blanche lacking the desired complexity.

PERSONAL NOTES
Bought in Austria this spring.
